Professional Hopes and Goals
Looking back at the final week of assignment it has given me the hope to press on. I have learned so much for this class by interaction with a group of individual that is diversity in skill and education level. It has given me the hope that when I complete this program I will have the know and skill to work in a diversity environment that will enhance my knowledge and skills. One thing that has inspired me in this journey I have a profile of my personal accomplishment on the front page it a poet that is call Deepest fear. This has been an inspiration that has help me to get thought hard time and good time. It reads:
Our Deepest Fear
By Marianne Williamson

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness
That most frightens us.
We ask ourselves
Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small
Does not serve the world.
There's nothing enlightened about shrinking
So that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine,
As children do.
We were born to make manifest
The glory of God that is within us
It's not just in some of us;
It's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we're liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.

I like reading this Poet to my children because it tell them to not to fear the unknown. To me this mean that if you let your fear of the what it in store for you  you will not let the light shine within you. This poet has is my inspiration when I want to give up it make me reach deep down inside and fine the energy to serve the world that I will.  We are all brilliant, gorgeous talented and fabulous. If you try and keep trying you will be successful at what every your goals are.
I like to thank everyone that has been a part of this class for the will power to kept working and keep trying this final line is need and all you have to do it reach for it and keep working. I like to say thank you for working with me with your words you have taught me. With your words you have inspired me and with your words you have kept me going to the next week and this is what is has meant for me to work in this class. I like to say thank you again and again and Keep up the good work.

  2. Its interesting, through this course I have seen where I have made mistakes, where I could have done better, did more, said more, tried harder but Im not leaving the class feelings defeated. Instead leaving the class filled with hope like you. I have hope that I will be much better in the future respecting diverse families and incorporating them into my classroom community. I have hope that the education I learned during these weeks will prepare me to support families in ways i have never before. I have hope that my personal biases will continue to be diminished. The poem you posted was inspiring as it deeply touches me. Best wishes to you on your journey.
